How to Avoid Low-Value Tasks
Not every task on Pinjoy is worth your time. We want you to be efficient. Here is how to spot a "bad deal."
The "Time vs. Reward" Ratio
Always calculate: Coupons per Hour.
Example of a BAD Task ❌
- Task: "Reach Level 500 in Candy Smash."
- Reward: 500 coupons ($0.50).
- Time Required: 10 hours.
- Rate: $0.05 per hour.
- Verdict: SKIP. You are better off collecting cans on the street.
Example of a GOOD Task ✅
- Task: "Sign up for Free Trial (Instant Cancel)."
- Reward: 2000 coupons ($2.00).
- Time Required: 5 minutes.
- Rate: $24.00 per hour.
- Verdict: DO IT.
Red Flags to Watch For
-
"Chance to Win": "Enter this sweepstakes for a chance to win an iPhone."
- Reality: You usually get nothing. Stick to guaranteed rewards.
-
Impossible Levels: "Reach Level 100 in 2 days."
- Reality: The game is designed so you can only reach Level 50 in 2 days unless you pay. Avoid these "bait" tasks.
-
Quiz with 100 Questions: "Take this Quiz to prove you are a genius."
- Reality: These often have endless ads between questions and pay very little ($0.02).
How to Check
Before starting a long game task:
1. Google the game name + "how long to reach level X".
2. Check Reddit.
3. If other players say it takes a month, make sure the payout is big enough to justify it.
