How Rewards Are Calculated
Ever wonder why downloading a Solitaire game pays $0.10, but reaching Level 20 in a Strategy game pays $20.00?
It all depends on User Value (LTV) to the advertiser.
The advertiser's perspective
Pinjoy is a middleman. We pass the budget from the advertiser to you.
Case A: The "Install" Task ($0.10)
- Advertiser Goal: Just wants to boost their download numbers in the App Store.
- Effort: Low.
- Value: Low.
- Result: Small reward for you.
Case B: The "Deep Engagement" Task ($20.00)
- Advertiser Goal: Wants a loyal player who might spend money on the game later.
- Effort: High (takes 2 weeks of playing).
- Value: High. The advertiser knows that 1 in 10 players will love the game and stay for years. They are willing to pay $20 to find that one person.
- Result: Big reward for you.
Case C: The "Survey" ($1.00)
- Advertiser Goal: Needs specific data (e.g., "What do 25-year-old men think about Nike?").
- Value: High, but only if you fit the profile.
- Result: Good pay for a short time, but limited availability.
Why do rewards change?
"Yesterday this task was 1000 coupons, today it is 800."
Advertisers have budgets. Maybe they had $10,000 to spend on Monday. By Friday, they only have $2,000 left, so they lower the bid.
Pro Tip: If you see a high reward, grab it. It might not be there tomorrow.
