Understanding Transaction Fees

You withdrew $5.00, but only $4.80 landed in your E-wallet or bank account. Did Pinjoy steal $0.20?

No. That is the transaction fee charged by the payment processor.

Who charges fees?

Pinjoy sends the full amount. However, the middlemen take a cut.

PayPal Fees

PayPal often charges a receiving fee for commercial payments.
* Typical Fee: 2% + $0.30.
* Who pays? The receiver (you).
* Note: This varies by country. In some countries, "Friends & Family" transfers are free, but businesses like us cannot use that method.

Gift Cards

  • Fee: Usually $0.00.
  • If you redeem a $10 Amazon card, you get a code for exactly $10.

We hate fees too, but we have to follow the banking rules!
