Why Some Tasks Pay Less Than Others
It can be frustrating. You open the app, and you see tasks paying 50 coupons ($0.05). You think: "Why is this so low?"
Let's look at the economics.
The Value Chain
- Advertiser Budget: The company making the app decides how much a user is worth.
- Pinjoy's Cut: We take a small fee to run the servers.
- Your Reward: The rest goes to you.
Low Pay vs. High Pay
| Task Type | Advertiser Goal | Effort | Pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| Watch Video | Brand Awareness | Zero | Very Low ($0.005) |
| Install App | Download Count | Low (1 min) | Low ($0.10) |
| Reach Level 2 | Try the Game | Medium (10 mins) | Medium ($0.50) |
| Reach Level 50 | Become a Player | High (2 weeks) | High ($20.00+) |
Why do other apps promise more?
You might see an ad for another app saying: "Watch 1 video and earn $10!"
That is a scam.
No advertiser pays $10 for a video view. The market rate is $0.01. If an app promises $10, they will never let you cash out.
At Pinjoy, we pay market rates. They might seem lower than the "fake" apps, but the money is real.
